Finished Richards' introduction & gave it to Carl to transcopy.
Grapes ripe in garden, also two cucumbers and (so far) one melon. Orange plant near drive flowering.
Laura gave the kitten milk, Alice2 growling & refusing to have anything to do with it.
Worked at Poets. In the afternoon, walk with Karl along the coast to the hotel3 & then back. Mentioned the folboat4 (for which Short only offers 300pts) to hotel & to Ferrars. Laura asleep. Kitten died.
Did rest of Chapter V A.F.T. [Almost Forgotten Times]5
Laura's throat bad. Stopped smoking for a few hours.
