More work on Manor House.
Wrote to Isabel.
Reading Augustine's Confessions1.
Laura working on the last chapter of The Heathen, I checking.
Today Mary got engaged – for the fourth time.
Noise of radios [sic: radio's] not drowned by traffic. Also Welsh miners singing in Baker St.
To Nan & Wilfred's in 75 Flask Walk Hampstead. He is now M.P. [Member of Parliament] for North Cumberland & has got bald and rather mannered. We liked Nan very much. W. [Wilfred] will ask P.M.G.2 a question about Italian air mail to Majorca.
