Sept 16 Thursday

It was a fine thunder showery day. We spent the morning in Southampton where I (at Gieves1) ordered 2 pr [pairs] of corduroy trousers: grey & brown; & roast beef lunch there[RG] at Bursledon [RG], & drove back in the rain: looking at ribbon architecture.
Stomach upset by the drive.
5 pp [pages] of Belisarius, & going over last 3 day'[RG]s' work.
Margaret & Leonard's last evening.
Alan returned.
