Heavy weather: 11 pp [pages] Belisarius. Harry & Alix to London to see Abou Kayer & flathunt. Alan in afternoon — to cheer up[RG] us[RG] up. Talked about about[RG] Greed & Laziness[RG]: went for walk in growing Thunderstorm (L, Alan, Karl & I) & after supper talked about literalness.
I went over Year of Damage for shortening – because Constable & Heinemann both reported it lacked vitality.
