Today I saw a red squirrel: yesterday a kingfisher.
We engaged a deaf cook-general to live in: her name is Modeste Dreuxlin.
The kitten is constantly getting lost & found in unexpected places: top of the attic ladder; in the food cupboard, at the bottom of the fire-extinguisher case.
Oat-harvest at the farm.
I put on summer clothes for the first time this year.
The house is now more in hand.
L went over some poems with me.
All the spare crockery washed.
The postman an old soldier drinks.
