Shopping in Selfridges with Catherine. (Her silhouette cut) then to my tailor to try on dress-suit, to shirtmaker. Back. Jenny had phoned Laura about a wedding present for Sarah Churchill who is running off with Olivier the Cochrane Follow The Sun1 humourist. Laura to Selfridge to get it. I went to Morning Post to interview Osborne about the Grigson affair. He asked (after being properly horrified) "what do you want me to do?" I said "Deal with the matter in the best traditions of Morning Post."
