Dec 26 Sunday

Feeling better after a long sleep protracted to 12 o clock.
Ch [Chapter] X & XII Belisarius.
No visits today. Called up Jenny. There had been a fist fight at the poker-table.[RG] there.
Laura finished last section of letter book: 3 recommendations remain.
Working very hard to complete contract. Karl has just finished typing the last chapters, which make, with foreword & index, 488 pp [pages] = 170,000 words. I contracted for 100,000.
