Feb 28 Monday

John's river picture back from being framed.
Wrote a bit about the deposition of Silverius & blinding of B. [Belisarius] in case my facts should be challenged. Len to lunch & work with Laura.[RG]
Sam's last day: he hung about, we played marbles, Karl took him to shop at Selfridges, I took him to King's +.
Walk with Laura & Alan in Kilburn; snack at Woolworths.
Then Laura felt tired, went to bed & sleep – my reading to her – at 9 o'clock.
