Dec 1 Thursday.

5 hours of Dictionary: to extract our ration of 100 words. Very little else except a walk to the village with Alan & there ate rabbit-pâté at Hotel Ouest
Laura finished 5th scene of Greeks & Trojans and worked with David on problem of what would be a perfect modern machine made chair. She did Aristotle1 again at night.
A fawning letter about my poems from R.Church.
Finished British Social Life in India2 (by myself, not reading aloud)[RG] and Code of the Woosters3 – sadly bad.
