* Troy finished. Cold day. Much rain.
Read last section of Troy.
Aeroplanes in Palma at 11.45 and 6. Many bombs dropped. Cort1 & General Headquarters. Buades' plate glass broken.
In the morning two killed.
No fascists have come forward in Deyá.

In afternoon Junyers came and brought the three pictures; ins[RG] she charged 600 p. [pesetas] for the fish one of hers (not paid for yet).
500 foreigners left Palma today.
Visit from Lady Shepherd & Mrs Starkie & her children from Fornalutx. "We are very Right in our village" and talked of chances of bringing down an aeroplane. Offensive to Laura, who replied warmly.
Rough sea so did not go to bathe.
Sent letters[RG] p.c's[RG]3 off by Short and someone on a Dutch boat — to everyone, saying that we intended to stay, for the present at least.
Wireless in the evening. 'neither side has the advantage.'
May have to go to England for proofs etc
F [Fascist]'s searched Costa D'Or for a secret radio transmitter. Dr.Peñaranda4 and his brother in prison for using one.
