Worked all day on answer to Laura's "Letter on International Affairs"1, with walk to Lugano in afternoon and[RG] where bought ×××× [indecipherable] an Italian brown & grey & black silk blanket, 10 fr [francs], and a black and yellow straw basket for me (3.50) and a red leather powder box for Laura 3.50 and a carpet for Karl 3.70.
First real days' work for weeks. Stopped at 12.
