Trouble with Karl 's passport. Tried unsuccessfully to get interview with German Consul about it.
Day clouded by news of reprisals by Germany & Italy in Spain.
Laura two days of letters & going over first part of Ch. [Chapter] 6 of Ghost.
Govt [Government] Guarradaramma offensive begins.
