At Mr Mills bought a Chinese lion & a Staffordshire lamb for Julian: also a round gilt frame for ourselves. (2/01)

Checked another ×××× [indecipherable] batch of page-proofs of her poems. Alan & Beryl helped her with typing (Karl having a cold [sic: kold])
Wet day.
