To West London (by bus 45 min. [minutes] each way) to sign authority for Jenny's op. [operation] this afternoon. She was nervous.
Worked on Claudius film or[RG] bookstall version.
* In afternoon Laura & I went to see Jenny. She was just coming to. Her first question was, how was Laura. She said how relieved she was. The room was stuffy & full of chloroform fumes. We returned via Harrods where Laura bought nightdresses & underclothes.
Mrs. Mokler has been looking after us for the last few days.

Feeling much better. Finished Exile poem.
