It has been lovely weather for some days now.
9 pp [pages] of Belisarius Ch [Chapter] XII in evening, after a walk back with Alix from Cranleigh.
Laura at work on letter book – recommendations for newspapers1 – & taking ×××× 2 homeopathically [sic: homoepathically].
Mad letter from John Lucy & sad letter from Mary, whom he has been beating up, she says.
In our new game of marbles we have not yet found any sure technique.
