To Posada: bath getting on. Fogon1 being tiled, comedor2 being tiled, entrada3 being cleaned up, windows being glazed, cupboard fitted under sink & tiles there. Wall of mina4 rising and shutter-irons fixed. Ordered shelf for cupboard in Honor's [sic: honours] room.
Cor[RG] Went over Tom Matthews's novel 50 pp.5
After lunch we[RG] made green pickle, using more ginger than last time: also curry powder, Sultanas, pimiento, & samphire, a lot of lemon peel scrapings. 4 1/2 jars, 3 bottles of juice. Very good results.
Sent things in cart to Posada (bed, table, box, pail etc.)
More Tom novel6: then to Margarita with L (my gold shirt) to Posada again – carpenters: all work done by them. Tomorrow will move up. Son Bujosa wine: 40 cm [centimos]7: good. Read more of Honor's novel8. Letter from E.M. about cheque. From Maisie, about Nancy's probably moving from Sutton Veny. Laura extremely tired.
Figs in creme-de-menthe & water.
Geraniums of all colours mixed with yellow-green stone-crop look nice.
Francisco9 has mended bench-arm – made book cupboard out of the box my mss [manuscripts] came in from England .
