Sweated out a cold last night with rum & hot orange water.
Rained again all night.
Planted some self sown cranes-bill. A lot of dahlias are coming up, planted[RG] self-sown[RG]. Others eaten by slugs.
Wrote tentative foreword for Antigua & went over Karl's typing of the new chapters. Laura reading proofs of Epilogue II.
The espalier roses at their best.
First love-in-the-mist out.
All getting so fed up with Catalina.
Strawberries starting.
Everything very late that wasn't very early. Pears not even budding yet, most of them.
To Posada and hung up the tela1 in the comedor [sic: comidor] 2.
Finished the three chapters of Ant. and included in the typescript.
Reading Epilogue proofs after Laura.
Eyes very tired.
