Worked on Poems, after going with Karl to the German consulate about his passport1.
Wrote a long letter to Watt in answer to a stupid letter from Doubleday about proofreading of my Lawrence book.
Reassuring letter from Short about houses, animals & Gelat: & a letter from Juan which we sent at once to Rennes. Still hopes of early release.
Government offensive at Guadalajara again.
