Heavy bad day.
Laura still in bed & had no breakfast or lunch. Alix sat & talked with her, & so did I.
2 pp [pages] of Belisarius.
Invented a marble game: same as other but with [figure - figure: sketch of marble board and arrangement of marbles] this arrangement which makes moves very different.[RG]
Laura ate supp [pages]er & she talked to Harry & me about the teaching of mathematics
I went to Cranleigh by bus & back in the mist, getting wet in the woods.
Three versions of a poem called The Grudge
In Cranleigh I bought Laura an old English drinking glass (9/-1)to take the place of the one Karl broke while I was in Hospital.
