Feb 4 Friday
Working again at 9.30 on Belisarius. Finished by 3 and Cassell's sent someone to fetch the two chapters.
A little sleep and a walk.
Then to dinner at Norman's in his car with Alan & Beryl, then to Mount Royal to a queer flat temporarily hired for Gordon as B.B.C. representative on night-telephone. Also there:
Honor, Maisie (wearing Good1 jewels). Ate lichee nuts & loquats
Mount Royal: a liner on a voyage to nowhere. A convenient haunt of tarts – no questions asked.
