Rose 6.30. Letter to Gordon asking him to bring Gamage boat, cheque to Gamage for boat. Letter to Dr Brown Philadelphia about Claudius, Xenophon, homeopathy. Cable to List Verlag agreeing provided they apply for permission to send money & give me proof of having sent it. To Barker informing of cable.
C.F.V. all morning.
Afternoon walk to Moorish Castle via C'an Quet [sic: Ca'n Cat] and back by Son Ripoll: investigated caves there. Strenge & Carl coolness over.
In evening came Ferres & Kurtz, & he talked communism, hard, against Laura. Blamed England's wavering policy. Battered away – I was very sleepy & mixed my drinks, felt sick, had to go to bed.
