Visit to Gelat — Better but weak. Says that the man from whom we bought Posada will have to bring up Cura1 in the courts: first getting formal consent from his bishop. Brought wine from Fábrica.
Went over 11 pp of Antigua, finishing Chapter VI.
Road repaired as far as first breach.
Checked Focus proof as far as it went.
Pruned stocks. No me verás sin sols2 out, and the magenta plant with triangular fleshy leaves (lasts only a fortnight)3.
Peach has leaf-canker.
Seedling-fruit trees now in leaf.
Can Pabó rose-tree flowering again: flowered last late December.
To Karl's late: he did his first job of dictation of Laura's letters straight on typewriter.
Wrote to Dulan ordering about £2.10/– worth of coloured engravings of birds and animals: late 18th century & early 19th century.
Constable decision not to handle Epilogue.
