To Miguel the carpenter whom I brought back. He took measures for the porches over front doors of Ca'n Torrent & Canellun, also for Canellun cellar door. Also measures for window screens. Antonia1 & Carmen whitewashing cellar[RG] Isabel's cellar. Miguel did lock on patio door, also pulleys on L [Laura]'s windows.
Two Englishwomen passing: ×××× [crossed out] " And then, poor man, he [RG] made the marmalade. He got it either burned or smoked: it wasn't bad."
Papered my chest of drawers.
Letter from Oman undertaking to ask question about royalties in House of Commons. Wrote to thank. Books from Heffers: Harlican Miscellany,, 2 Oliphants2, Troy to Tarsus; also King & Queen of Congo3.
L [Laura] & I visited I. [Isabel] Better: up. Procession with candles from Church & candles in every window in big houses.
Focus came. They had left out a whole line again and made format smaller than last time.
