Changed £60 with Short (2000 pesetas. to Gelat) at 'black' rate of 37.50 pesetas.. Notarized my U.S. income tax claim & sent off. P.C. [postcard] to David, advising him & Sam [RG] to come on the 15th by the Scharnhorst (S'hampton [Southampton] 11th).
Letter[RG] Bought net skirt for Laura 15 pes [pesetas] and[RG] at M.M's,[RG] L various cushion cover stuffs, also small amethyst and pearl pendant 12 p. [pesetas]; at Casas keyhole for Posada, tocador [sic: toccador]2 for knocker, & old tile 1 p [peseta] in all, nothing else of interest.
On return, letter from Fuller returning missing ch. [chapter]3 and from Richards about Curzon & the Lancers4.
To Posada where fixed keyhole & tocador [sic: toccador]5.
