Sunday Sept 20th

Lunch at Dolphin with James, Mary, Karl, L. (others had gone off). In afternoon made Epilogue plans with James. Dull train journey back: nothing to read but a Saturday Evening Post & an R.A. [Royal Airforce] regimental journal lent by a gunner officer in opposite corner.
Nice sight of Arundel Castle.[RG]
Heavy rain.
Tried to write a poem about parents and children1, while Laura read Strabo.
