Aug 12 Thursday

Incorporated a lot of new Alan material in ch. [Chapter] 4 & what I had done of Ch [Chapter] 5.
Tanny Brown and John & Lucie came ×××× [indecipherable] to lunch. Tanny went off early, John & Lucie stayed the night.
John broke the bow (the English1 one) & Tanny & he & Karl & I mended it with twine-binding.
Talk about 'maltashes' Lucie's word for women towards whom homosexuals feel sympathetic.
I cooked the supper.
Rain in evening.
