Dec 14 Saturday

Liddell Hart's typescript came: wrote to tell him how pleased I was. Read it part of day, & also went over typescript of the T.E. letters.1 Kegan Paul asked me to omit wounded soldier from Lars Porsena: did so. Sent off embroidered figleaves to Julie.
In the evening we visited Str. [Strenge] & Schw. [Schwarz] (Laura had not seen Str for a fortnight) & home to bed. Slept 12 hours.
Winston Churchill & W.B. Yeats both on island: different ends.
Men put framework of porch over front door: & worked on paths with stones from Posada & gravel from Can Mado.
Read Bunyan's friend Sister Beaumont (murderess?).
Rosa here: brought Laura's brocade jacket.
