Antigua – jacking up Chapter XV & transcopying Chapter 4, 5 and 6.
Whole batch of excellent O.S.S. reviews.
Wrote to Richards. Walked down the valley, up by Son Bauza.
Gelat returned. Had seen the expediente1 & defended himself to Masquelet, who gave him a solemn assurance that all was well. In the expediente[RG] report, derived from the expediente2, lies and omissions which Gelat and his lawyer answered. G. & L. both vaguely accused of nefarious ×××× [indecipherable] antecedents. There is some Palma Staff-Colonel who has done this. G. also got proceedings against carabineros3 dropped.
He brought us a fine leash (vellum halft4) for Solomon5.
Tea with M. and A. at Can Torrent.
Masquelet will pass through Deyá one of these days.
Honor wrote to Mrs Glover6 saying that if she was there, she'd slap her face.
