Finished first draft of introduction to Richards1.
Sea at[RG] in afternoon.
Laura was coming in evening for a picnic there but 3 inspectors came from the Hacienda2denuncio3 about the Press4. Will have to pay 30 pes. [pesetas] annually in future.
Laura much vexed: Gelat fetched who will get to the bottom of the carretera5 business. Tonight he will talk to the Son Bauza commandante6 who is to be the next Chief of Staff in Majorca.
Laura's Poem We are the Resurrection: began to write a companion piece.
Thelen [sic: Thelin] sent Sch. [Schwarz] manuscript & a request for 60 p. [pesetas] more. Looks all right.
Blue cups came after a 2 or 3 months wait.
Hot wind. 11 o'clock visit from Castor: complains that new 2 collection system prevents his doing other work.
