Jan 4 Monday. Sam's birthday
(German intervention in Spain getting more sinister. Talk of European war's imminence.)
Feeling a bit better.
Charles' extraordinary truculent phone-call & Peggy's sympathetic one. Nancy, who came up with Sam to aurist, told him off. Later he rang me up. I gave him a chance to apologise
which he did not take so I rang off.
Dr. Wright's phone-call to N.N., Laura & Maisie also present: to say that Dr. Green-Armitage would take charge.
