Madrid defence strengthening.
Laura said to herself "I haven't done much work lately, but then I've been fighting so hard in Spain."
Checked inventory while Laura went to Marlborough House1 & supervised cleaning up.
Honor & Gordon came. Honor well & happy; Gordon has been behaving nicely.
Laura finishing preface to Troy.
Honor ×××× [indecipherable] and Gordon to dinner.
Gave Honor tea-pot.
Honor slept on camp-bed in Laura's room.
Started a poem about An Old House.
